Ben STorie, LPC-S

Ben Storie received his Master of Arts degree in 1998 in counseling from Oral Roberts University in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC-S) with experience in residential treatment, community counseling and private practice. Ben presently works with individual adults, couples, adolescents and their families. Ben and his wife live in Fort Smith with their two daughters.

Ben has trained extensively in, and continues to study, Emotionally Focused Therapy, an exciting research-based model of therapy that focuses on restoring relationships by strengthening core connections between loved ones. Once broken attachments have been restored, conflict and distress begin to diminish. His approach is focused on identifying core attachment wounds that are adversely affecting behavior, mood and relationships. Creating a safe, supportive atmosphere is the core of Ben’s therapeutic work.

“I believe that our emotions and our behavior make sense if we understand the context in which they occur. My goal is to understand your life experience so we can make sense of your responses to your current challenges.” – Ben
