  • Behavioral Problems/ Parenting help: Dr. Jackson employs research based techniques of managing difficult behavior in children including tantruming, defiance, school refusal, aggressive speech and behavior, toileting concerns, and self-injury.
  • Anxiety and Depression in Children and Adolescents: After helping the patient understand more about their mood symptoms, it is essential to treat depression and anxiety by providing effective coping skills so that a child or adolescent can feel empowered to deal with difficult feelings. Dr. Jackson provides these tools as well as opportunities to practice by setting up situations that will provide a safe chance to try out these skills. Then, the child will likely feel more confident to manage their feelings in more difficult situations.
  • Autism Spectrum Disorders: Dr. Jackson provides a variety of interventions to treat symptoms associated with the full range of autism spectrum disorders. She is skilled at Applied Behavior Analysis, Positive Behavior Support, Pivotal Response Training, and Social Skills Training. Specifically for Aspergers Disorder and High Functioning Autism, she focuses on learning to understand their condition and working to build stronger peer relationships.
