PATRICIA J. WALZ, PH. D.
Dr. Walz earned her Ph.D. in clinical psychology from the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville in 1990 and completed an American Psychological Association approved internship specializing in geriatrics and neuropsychology at the Hutchings Psychiatric Institute in Syracuse, New York. She has been in private practice in Fort Smith since 1990 and joined the Center for Professional Psychology in 2014. She specializes in psychological and neuropsychological assessment.
Dr. Walz is a member of the American Psychological Association and the National Academy of Neuropsychology and has been an active member of the Arkansas Psychological Association for almost 20 years for whom she served as an at large board member. She has been the Federal Advocacy Coordinator since 2004. She has also served on local boards such as the Alzheimer’s Association and the Fountain of Youth Adult Day Center.
One of her passions is taking her therapy dogs to visit the elderly clients at the Fountain of Youth. She has earned the Governor’s Volunteer Excellence Award under two governors for her volunteerism at the Fountain of Youth.
