Danielle Wheeler is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Licensed Professional Counselor. She has actively worked with married couples, individuals, adolescents, and children for over 10 years. Danielle has experience working with : marital conflict, relationship concerns, blended families, attachment, adjustment difficulties, stress, depression, anxiety, grief, behavioral difficulties, and conflictual family dynamics. Danielle's passion comes from her great burden for people that are hurting. She understands how one person's pain affects not only the individual, but the entire family system and uses this approach in working with her clients.


Danielle is Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI) Certified and uses this attachment approach with children and families. Danielle also has received EFT training and believes that this is the most therapeutic and healing approach when working with individuals, marriages, and families.


Danielle is originally from South Carolina and relocated to NWA to receive a Masters of Science in Marriage and Family therapy and Community Counseling from John Brown University. She attended Focus on the Family Institute in Colorado Springs, CO, where she had the privilege of studying under experts in the field of Marriage and Family Therapy.

Depression/Anxiety and Grief- This area seems to be the most frequent area of concern for seeking out therapy. Danielle works with all ages and stages of life with symptoms of depression, anxiety, and grief. Danielle works to detach shame from a person’s identity and helps to provide a focus towards hope.


Family Adjustment- Danielle has several years of experience working with families who have experienced major adjustments including adoption, foster care, grief, relocation, divorce and newly blended families.


Pre-marital/Marriage therapy- Danielle has training in Emotionally-Focused Therapy (EFT) which is a highly respected therapy model focusing on strengthening attachment bonds. This therapy model was created by Dr. Sue Johnson and has research supported evidence that marriages actually do feel more connected and secure.


Adolescents/Children-Danielle has specialized training in Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI) and believes that this is the best approach in working with children and adolescents. Presenting symptoms are often sadness, feeling overwhelmed, anxiety, loneliness, defiance, tantrums, isolation, difficulty in school, difficulty making friends, parent-child relational difficulties, etc.
