Lisa Fitzgibbons, PhD, ABPP is a board-certified clinical psychologist with the curiosity and openness to understand each client’s unique experience. Dr. Fitzgibbons consults with clients to become their own therapist and to recognize their own goals, gifts, and unique self. She works with individuals and their families to find accessible solutions for complex problems, monitoring gains along the way to make what can feel unseen, visible.
Evaluations, in Dr. Fitzgibbons' view, are a beginning — an opportunity to build a flexible, theoretically-informed plan that honors both the client’s strengths and the obstacles that could create bumps in navigating the plan. As a lifelong learner committed to evidence-based practice, Dr. Fitzgibbons brings training and experience in gold-standard assessment measures alongside a broad range of therapeutic approaches including:
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) – Linehan Certified Clinician
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
Prolonged Exposure Therapy
Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT)
PEERS – A social skills intervention for adolescents and adults
Family Well-Being Approach – An intervention for families navigating life with a loved one who has refused help for emotional difficulties
Dr. Fitzgibbons’ expertise also spans a wide range of developmental, emotional, and behavioral challenges — as well as the human difficulties that connect us all. She is also a PSYPACT provider, offering telehealth services across participating states.
Outside of the office, Dr. Fitzgibbons loves time with her family, walking her dogs, cooking, reading, or organizing her house (a never-ending project).
